Official Wording
A match ends immediately, without injury, when a competitor submits by tapping their hand (or verbally) to signal they cannot escape a hold.
Parent Translation
Tapping isn't losing โ it's the whole safety system of the sport. The second your kid taps (hand, foot, or saying it out loud), their partner stops instantly. It's treated as a normal, expected part of training, not something to be embarrassed about.
