Official Wording
Judges score each round separately: the winner of a round is awarded 10 points, the loser 9 or fewer, with wider gaps for knockdowns or one-sided rounds.
Parent Translation
Think of it like a report card scored round by round, not a running tally. A close round is 10-9. If someone gets knocked down or completely dominates a round, the gap gets wider. Add up all the rounds at the end to get the final score.
